Sebastopol Students Support Bush Fire Victims
Sebastopol College students have been compassionate in their planning and organising of activities to support those devastated by the Victorian fires.
Juanita Nunn, Danika Meade and Nathan Ritchie organised a whole school gold coin Casual Sock Day which raised $1000, this money has been divided between the Red Cross and Whittlesea Vet Clinic..
Cam O’Dea devised a plan for senior students to register to become Blood Donors and this will continue on a weekly cycle week. We have been supported by Gold Bus with free transport to the Red Cross Blood Bank.
Kelsey Mason and Nicole David have organised the donation of pet food and toiletries from families that have been collected and delivered to Community Centres.
Several students who are members of the CFA have been involved in back burning in local areas.
Our students are to be congratulated for their initiative, organisation and support of others in need, the empathy shown has highlighted the maturity of our students.
