2009 College Swimming Sports
Sebastopol College conducted the House Swimming Carnival on Friday March 13th. This year the College returned to the Eureka Pool, and were fortunate to have warm and sunny weather for the carnival. Students in all house groups were dressed for the occasion with house themes producing colourful and innovative costumes.
KINSBURY have not won a College swimming sports carnival since 2000. But this year, both teachers and students have worked hard in promoting the carnival; and their effort and performances, especially from the senior school students easily won the day for them. Kingsbury 598 There has been some very good swimmers at the College has in the past, and to break an event record is quite a challenge. But now we have the Lonie family. Maddison, Emma and Brooke take up all sporting opportunities that are offered to them, and with startling results. Both Brooke and Maddison broke the College records for their respective age groups in the 50m and 100m freestyle events.
